@matigo real shame the phones can’t stand on their sides now. I actually used that feature when I propped up my 5S to video record my friend’s wedding. Just sat the thing on its side on a bookshelf in the back of the room and set a video recording app to go. Turned out pretty damn good! Used an old 4 hidden by the wedding party to record audio and synced the tracks up in iMovie. Not pro-level 4K production, sure, but worked just fine and only used the equipment I had on hand. The square metal also was a plus when I video recorded my cousin’s wedding propping the phone in a tree branch. Not as smooth a phone as the modern ones so it didn’t slide out and stayed put through the ceremony so I could share the video with my mom (who couldn’t make it in person).
Apple seems to be forgetting about all these ‘human’ use cases and focusing on fancy phones that can’t be used as well. Upsets me greatly.
