@jws installed at 9:30, now 19:03 and still slow. Reviews claimed this is the new normal for us 5s folk. :( hopefully tomorrow will see some speed up.
iOS 11 on iPhone 5s: slow. Everything is slower. So much slow. Truly, they aren’t kidding when they say this is the minimum supported. No crashing, though! Just so much slow.
@matigo yeah, that'd change the debate quite a bit. Problem is the 6s is now two year old chips and I know Apple has a nasty habit of dropping support for chips beyond a certain age.
@matigo SE is an option I'm seriously looking at. Given the 6s is being kept for sale it is unlikely the SE will get an upgrade (would be odd to have the cheaper phone get better chips).
@matigo yeah, just general "showing its age" kind of stuff. Overall slowness, occasional crashing, etc… has been a real trooper of a phone thus far, and may have three or five more months, but another year might be too much.
Well crap. Not sure my iPhone 5s can make another year. 8 and X seem 'nice' but not compelling. Gonna be a rough upgrade no matter which route I go.

a trouble with living alone is there's no external motivation to tidy up. Finally got around to sorting/cleaning a 1x2m spread/pile of "random crap" today. Nice to have the floorspace back finally. :)
@matigo I've often thought of getting a saltlick for the office. Just lean over and liiiick. salt is SO tasty!
